Five Methods for Process Scope, Customer Value, Risk and Accountability

A connected Methodfield release adds SIPOC, Kano Model, Bow-Tie Analysis, Stakeholder Mapping and RACI Matrix with bilingual guides, learning, practice, visuals and narrated audio.

Methodfield has added five practical methods that connect process definition, customer evidence, barrier-based risk management, stakeholder engagement and operating accountability.

  • SIPOC defines the process boundary before detailed mapping, measurement or automation.
  • Kano Model distinguishes basic expectations, proportional performance and potentially attractive attributes without turning the survey into an automatic roadmap.
  • Bow-Tie Analysis links threats, one loss-of-control event, consequences and evidence-backed preventive and recovery barriers.
  • Stakeholder Mapping separates influence from impact and legitimacy, then turns the evidence into a reviewed engagement plan.
  • RACI Matrix clarifies participation in defined deliverables and decisions while keeping real authority outside the four-letter notation.

Why these five belong together

The set follows a common operating sequence:

Define the process → Understand value → Model material risk → Engage affected actors → Clarify execution and decisions

The sequence is not mandatory. A team can enter at the point of uncertainty: SIPOC when the boundary is disputed, Kano when product attributes need customer evidence, Bow-Tie when control paths are unclear, Stakeholder Mapping when change depends on diverse actors, and RACI when defined work has ambiguous ownership.

The methods are deliberately non-duplicative. SIPOC is not a detailed flowchart; Kano is not feature voting; Bow-Tie is not an enterprise risk register or FMEA replacement; Stakeholder Mapping is not a role assignment chart; and RACI is not an organisation structure or grant of authority.

A complete bilingual package

Every method includes:

  • original English and Russian guides;
  • a focused learning module in an existing path;
  • ten assessment questions, including advanced scenarios;
  • a guided practice case with evidence, constraints and a scoring rubric;
  • a structured workspace template;
  • an original protected infographic;
  • an English narrated audio guide with chapter navigation;
  • a claim-to-source review record and dated review triggers.

The Method Finder now recognises all five methods and explains both fit and contraindications. The Knowledge Map connects each method to its learning path, practice case and adjacent methods without merging their distinct jobs.

Evidence and AI boundaries

The new content avoids false certainty. A SIPOC boundary must be validated against real cases. Kano categories remain sample-, segment- and time-dependent. A Bow-Tie barrier needs a mechanism, performance standard, owner and assurance evidence. Stakeholder assessments preserve evidence and confidence and must not become personal resistance scores. A RACI cell cannot create delegation, competence or risk authority.

AI can extract candidate elements, check structure, compare approved versions and flag missing links. It must not invent operating evidence, fabricate customer responses, infer sensitive traits, certify barrier effectiveness or assign accountability without an authorised human.

Start with SIPOC for a process boundary, or use the Method Finder to choose the point that matches your decision.
